Sons of Anarchy Exclusive: Season 6 Scoop.

ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT | With Tara behind bars for her role in Otto’s murder of a prison nurse (aka Toric’s sister) — and just as she was set to leave town with the kids for a normal life! — the Tellers’ nascent union shall be tested. “You saw the beginning of the shift in that relationship at the end of last season, when Tara broke that news to Jax about wanting to get out with the boys,” Sutter notes. “[Tara’s imprisonment] obviously has a big impact this season as far as where they are at emotionally. Can it be fixed? Does it bring them closer together? Or does it separate them more?”

The Top 10 TV shows of 2012

2. “Sons of Anarchy” (FX)

The hog-straddling bad boys of this biker drama have always made for good TV. But Season 5 revved up the raw intensity to full-throttle as it chronicled Jax Teller’s (Charlie Hunnam) tumultuous transition to club leader and his ugly dealings with the traitorous Clay (Ron Perlman). (Ah, yes, uneasy lies the head that wears a crown). Moreover, the usual violence and villainy was tinged with visceral heartbreak (R.I.P., Opie), and the show benefitted from jolts of fresh energy provided by Jimmy Smits and Harold Perrineau. The excessive plot gyrations drive me bonkers at times, but this so-called “Hamlet on Harleys” has managed to keep its motor runnin’.

‘Sons of Anarchy’s’ Maggie Siff on ‘Horrifying,’ ‘Tragic’ End to Season 5

In the final moments of the episode, Tara finally tells Jax (Charlie Hunnam) that she’s moving to Oregon with the kids — with or without him.

“There’s really no turning back from that. She’s not asking him a question — she’s telling him the way it is,” Siff tells The Hollywood Reporter.

However, right after that moment, the police arrive to arrest Tara on conspiracy to commit murder.

“It was really horrifying and tragic for the character. I root for her so much,” Siff tells THR about that final scene. “I always feel conflicted when I read scenes like that because it’s so upsetting for Tara, and yet as an actor, I’m always excited for that kind of a challenge.”
